Some wedding days are loud and electric from the very first moment. And some build slowly — quietly — until something shifts and the whole day opens up.
Mikayla and Cayden’s wedding at Haymoon Resort in Whitefish was the second kind.

Cayden and Mikayla brought completely different energies to the day — Cayden easy and relaxed from the very first moment, Mikayla focused and intentional, making sure everything was just right. Together they balanced each other perfectly.
And then the ceremony happened — and something shifted. The planning was done. The details were done — all that was left was him. She was just a bride, he was just her person and the rest of the day was theirs.

The reception is where this gallery really comes alive. The dancing photos from this day are some of my favorites — loose, joyful and completely unscripted. The kind of photos that happen when people stop thinking about being photographed and just start living the night.

Haymoon Resort in Whitefish is something else. Intimate enough to feel personal, stunning enough to feel special. As a Flathead Valley wedding photographer this is exactly the kind of venue and wedding day I love being part of — a traditional wedding done with intention. Ceremony, reception, cake cutting, wedding party — all of it — but never rushed and never overdone.
If you’re planning a wedding at Haymoon Resort or anywhere in the Whitefish area or Flathead Valley and want photography rooted in real moments — I’d love to connect. Let’s talk →
