Some wedding days are picture perfect. Blue skies, golden light, mountains sharp on the horizon.
Aislynn and Kyle’s Mission Valley wedding wasn’t that kind of day – it was better.
This Charlo, Montana wedding was intimate and intentional with a touch of moody, rainy weather which gave it a breathtaking, romantic, Montana feel.
They met at work — both nurses at the same hospital. Before they started dating, Kyle would walk Aislynn home after late night shifts. That’s where it started. Quietly and intentionally, the way the best things usually do.
Their wedding day in Charlo, Montana had that same energy. Small. Intentional. Completely theirs.

The rain arrived right around the time of their first look — just a sprinkle at first. By the end of the day it was a full Montana rain.
After their first look Aislynn gave Kyle his wedding gift — a custom belt and belt buckle. And then they stepped away together for private vows. Just the two of them. No audience, no direction. Just two people choosing each other out loud.

The ceremony was held outside under a pop-up canopy tent at Leon Hall in Charlo, Montana — intimate, relaxed and completely surrounded by the people who matter most to them.

The rain continued outside and the celebration continued inside. The reception had a warm, easy energy — relaxed and unhurried and full of good moments.
The cake cutting might be my favorite series of photos from the day. Smiling at each other, a kiss, pulling back still smiling and then just eating the cake. Four frames that say everything about who they are together.

By the time we headed out for evening portraits the rain was coming down hard. Aislynn and Kyle were soaked within minutes.
They were in the depth of wedding day bliss and the rain didn’t bother them at all. Just two people completely in love — it made for some of my favorite photos of the day.
